Railway Protection Force plans to implement an integrated security scheme at Pune railway station

Rs 4.5 crore advanced security system:

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has already erected two bunkers at the Pune railway station and plans to erect four more within a week. Vapour detectors will be installed at major stations to detect presence of bombs.

The integrated security scheme (ISS) plan envisages increasing manpower, putting all entry and exit points under surveillance, erecting security wall around railway stations and using X-Ray machines for checking bags.

The stations will also get close circuit cameras, night vision cameras, cameras with high specifications, well-equipped control rooms, door frame metal detectors, hand-held metal detectors and bomb detection units.

Other safety devices include semi-automatic and automatic weapons, bullet-proof jackets, helmets and sniffer dog squads.

By the end of this financial year, the Pune station will be equipped with all these security gears. To read more, please, visit - Pune station to get Rs 4.5 cr security upgrade
